Footprints Farm

Jeremy and Ellen Swartzfager (along with their children Elsie, Isaac, and Hannah) raise a diversity of plants and animals on their farm. They use a number of traditional farming techniques to optimize the health of their animals, and thus the health of the food they grow. Their methods include rotational grazing, crop rotation, and guardian animals, all of which harness natural processes in a way that produces nutritious food for all.

• 100% grass-fed lamb

How They Do It

• pasture-based with rotational grazing

• lambs and cows are never fed grain

• all feed is non-GMO

• some hay is grown on the farm

• no hormones or subtherapeutic antibiotics

• no farrowing or gestation crating of sows

• no beak-trimming (poultry), tail-docking, or teeth-clipping (pigs)
